Supports the use of standard shoe-mounted accessories on Sony's camcorders.
Description
This adapter allows the use of as many as five universal shoe compatible devices on a Sony camcorder that has the Active Interface Shoe (AIS). This adapter does not provide electrical or audio connections to the camcorder though the AIS socket. The shoe mount is powdercoated black, but is shown uncoated for picture clarity.
The part weighs about 3oz or 80g.
Compatibility
This product is specifically designed for Sony's AIS, it will not likely work with any other camcorder brand's proprietary shoe.
Known Compatible Products:
Sony HDR series -HC1, HC3, HC5, HC7, SR1, UX1. Not recommended for HVR-A1, as it requires the removal of the XLR block.
